Dear list@irishtune.info subscribers,

Thanks to those of you in this group of 38 people who have asked to stay=20
posted on updates and to share your reviews of irishtune.info.

Here's the first "new material alert" since irishtune.info was launched=20
publicly last November. As promised, I have concentrated since then on=20
working on the large backlog of CDs which I have not yet indexed, instead=20
of letting myself get distracted by the project of improving the "features"=
=20
of irishtune.info.

Although I've only now just dented my pile of not-yet-indexed CDs, I have=20
reached a good point to report to you what's new.

Counting only those since the end of last June, when I stopped indexing new=
=20
CDs in order to concentrate on preparing the public launch of=20
irishtune.info, the following are the 9 CDs whose contents you can now find=
=20
properly identified and cross-indexed in irishtune.info (click each one for=
=20
more info):
http://www.irishtune.info/album/JKm/ (John Kimmel)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/BtB/ (Morrison/Killoran)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/SatG/ (Star above the Garter)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/MGm/ (Michael Gorman)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/EOD/ (Eugene O'Donnell)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/MR+2/ (Micho Russell)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/CmA+1/ (Coleman-country archives)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/Dnu+1/ (Dan=FA)
http://www.irishtune.info/album/Dnu+3/ (Dan=FA)

There are 2 reasons why this is a nice time to update you all: this brings=
=20
the size of the database up to exactly 12,001 tune recordings and=20
transcriptions. Also my next step is to finally plow into the pile of 10=20
CDs of Cork and Kerry music (especially Sliabh Luachra) which I picked up=20
in Ireland last summer. I have no idea how many months it will take me to=20
finish my little Sliabh Luachra project, but I'll plan on that setting the=
=20
time for your next alert ... after that I'll move on to the 28 non-Sliabh=20
Luachra CDs in the pile! Best wishes,
